What to wear to your interview

In person interviews are slowly starting to trickle back in but, there are still plenty of programs that are utilizing online methods as their primary way of interviewing. Online interviewing has made some people feel a bit more relaxed and with reason. You are behind a computer in the comfort of your home, how could you not be more relaxed than being interviewed in person after having to travel and not sleeping in your own bed the night before? This does not mean you shouldn’t wear pants the day of the interview! Whether you are interviewing online or in person, you should be on you’re A-game. Professional-looking pants, shirt, jacket, etc. Your appearance does count for this and, it might also provide you with that extra boost of confidence for a great interview day!

A few musts:

• Nice shirt

• Vest/Jacket is an add-on, not necessary but, recommended (I wore one because I was paranoid so, if you are stressed about, just wear one)

• Dress pants/skirt

• Tie

Don’t forget, your appearance does count during these interviews and that includes fixing your hair (at least, minimally) so you don’t look like you just got out of bed. Good luck to all of you!
